The New UPA Govt. has finally been elected and set in to hit another Mile Stone. This time the UPA govt. is energised by the overwhelming support it got and it has the power to make necessary amendments to the constitution as well as Introduce more and more of valuable policies for the benefit of the common countymen. Though the Govt. has been elected for a period of Five (5) years and the agenda should have been for 5 years, the first and foremost thing the Govt. is expected to do in the 100 days unlike " First 100 days of OBAMA" are as under:-
· Work as per the rules framed under the Indian Constitution judiciously and honestly, and the things will show its progress.
· Improve the functioning of the Govt. by making people accountable for the loss.
· Reduce Govt. Expenditure which can be done in first 100 days and utilise the surplus accruing for the upliftment of the poor and the real needy persons.
· Impact of Global Financial Crisis has spread its wing in India too, as a result of which the Thousands of People have become Job-less. This is a serious matter and Govt. should take steps for providing Job opportunity to such people.
· Minimise the Impact of Inflation & reduce (मह्गाइ). Bring Down the prices of Consumer Durables.
Though the list is exhaustive but in first 100 days Govt. should devote for above works.
The Govt. should look into the Basic needs of the country men. The Major Issue for the Common Person are रोटि, कपडा ऑर् मकान्" Hence Emphasis be made by the Govt. on the following Issues during its term of Five Years:-
· Urgent need to Adopt Water Policy -Increase the Inter-connection of Rivers in order to channelise the surplus water to drought prone areas in order to minimise the needs of millions of people who are not getting drinking water. Start implementing National River linking project otherwise India will face acute water shortage in future. It can be done on the pattern of creating Golden Quadrangle for Road Infrastructure.
· Electricity Shortage should be minimised-24 hrs Electricity to be provided to each and every village of India with more attention on renewable energy. Mr. Rahul Gandhi has said in Parliament during a debate on the signing of the US Atomic accord " that there will be electricity in each and every village once the Atomic agreement with USA is reached" & now it is the time since we have joined hands with USA , UPA Govt. should utilise this opportunity for Nuclear Generation of Power and provide uninterrupted Electricity to the common man.

· Increase Employment by creating more & more Employment Opportunity. This can be done by making Education Job - Oriented. The Education Cess taken by the Govt. should be utilised by the Govt. for creation of proper Jobs. Each and every student must get Job.
· Reservation Policy must be amended and should be relooked in view of the fact that the people who are paying Income Tax should be removed from the reservation status. reservation should be at the Entry stage only and not at all the stages.
· India is Agriculture dependent country. Govt. should give preferred attentionto our Farmers. Agri Business should be increased which will lead to reduction in Migration of Rural population.
· Rural Education Needs a reform. An Agency should be set-up in each every state to control school and college fees and strict policy to control the unnecessary load of education from our small children. Rural children should be provided cheaper education. It has been observed that many of the rural schools are without Teachers and where the teachers are posted they are either not staying in the village or are not visiting the school / college regularly.
· Health Crisis should be removed and facilities should be made more transparent within the reach of common man. Better Medical facilities are required in Govt. hospitals.
· Strict action for the people working in the various departments is Badly needed for those who do not discharge their duties honestly & also for the Erratic Working officials .
· Reduction in Govt. Expenditures specially expenditures of Govt. Officials is the need of hour.
· Funds parked in Swiss Bank should be brought in India and it should be utilised for better development.
· Though the Govt. is laying much emphasis on the Collateral Free Loans in SME sector, the Bank's are reluctant to grant credit on a higher level because the Bank's are facing the risk of higher NPA's in this sector and the recovery is very poor. It required of the Govt. to take strict and pungent action on the defaulters and assist the Banks in the recovery.
· Security related major issue is the threat due to Terrorist activity. Govt. should take strong action and demonstrate strong Security Measures so that no 26/11, Akshardham or attack on Parliament Crisis crops up in future to build confidence in the minds of common people.
Thus if the UPA Govt. discharges its duty within the ambit of Indian Constitution honestly all the above things are bound to happen and make our country More Vibrant than Vibrant Gujrat. India is strong as is evident form the recent Global financial Crisis that we are financially strong. We are sure that our country will surely become Super Power Nation.
